Only for Windows Vista, just get a program like Lightroom which has a built in library, much easier than working in explorer as you can search by attribute.

The latest version of Picasa2 from Google now displays Pentax PEF files, (also will display Tiff, PSD etc), best free graphics program you can have on a PC.
Cheers

Another vote for Picasa - I find it invaluable for organising images and creating CDs for proofs.

The only annoying thing is that AFAICS there's only one import location, so if you use it to pull photos from the SD card, it puts them all in the same place.
I use Adobe's photo downloader to do the initial transfer, since it creates a dated subfolder. Then I let Picasa auto-detect the new files and add them to its catalogue.

Wow - just imported my latest pictures from my sd-card - from my bithday yesterday
I'm suprised to see the same image side by side in RAW and JPEG. Such a big difference in colour. The Jpeg seems alot darker. I use the raw+ feature so its the same image in different format.
Is this common - or can I adjust soemtihng so the jpeg is the same in colours as the raw?

You have the option to adjust 3 components of the JPG. Sharpening, contrast, and saturation.
Look in your menu to find them, tweak them, and test until satisfied.
Personally, I can't see the point. You'll probably be trashing the JPG's anyway if you shoot RAW as well. Why waste card space with JPG's as well?

Agree - Why waste space - Basicly two points:You have the option to adjust 3 components of the JPG. Sharpening, contrast, and saturation.

Sometimes I'm just to lazy to process all pictures - why I have them in both formats - so I only need to proces some of the shots. Rest of the shots are plain shots from holiday/everday and so on - and I cant proces them all. So far I have used Picasa2 to tweak them a bit in jpeg.
I will try finetune my jpegs to get a better first time result.

I've used DPMagic http://www.dpmagic.com/ on my Windows XP PC. However, they haven't updated the cheaper versions to fully work with K10D PEF files, but you will still be able to see the thumbnails in Explorer.

I have noticed its possible to download a thumpnail program (to view in Windows) for nikon and canon.
Anyone know if a similar program is made for Pentax...please add a link if possible (for download).
Thanks in advance.
