Rainy London by the Thames

One of the many reasons that I use Pentax, is that it gives me some piece of mind to go into the rain and just take photos. I also like how the water turns out in the photos!

Also, check out this thread if you haven't yet.

Thank you for looking!

This was from Battersea Bridge to Wandsworth Bridge. After that I was too wet to continue LOL I'm not that waterproof!

Very nice set.
I particularly like the last one, it's right up my street. Lol

Definitely the last one here is the standout - it is a striking image and well worth braving the rain for!

I like the composition on the last but I'm not so keen on the fuzzy blobs on the last or the highlights.

The cranes is the standout for me.

I like #1, a typical everyday scene with a good lead in by the street lights, no matter what the weather. Might be better to crop the bit of lifebuoy off. I think with the last one you should have taken two versions, one with "rain stains" which I'm not to keen on and one without so Gareth can be sure of a good night's sleep

I really like #1 although agree maybe better with slight crop of lifebuoy #4 is really really good and I quite like the rain blobs love the way the rain has made the ground all shiny. Great composition great execution in my opinion of course

I must be a heathen, but I'm afraid these don't work for me. I can see promise in the last one, though I don't like the blown sky. And the raindrops don't help.

Sorry

#2 (love the dark tones and that dark blood red colour, really lovely!) and #4 (the rain blobs add to the mood IMHO). Nice work, Alan! It shows how unpromising weather, and fairly unpromising locations, can give up gems (to the right photogapher).

Many many thanks everyone! The buoy at #1 is really distracting now that it's been pointed out. The last one, yes, it's been a mix to everyone actually, with a 60% vote for a version without the rain blobs (which I do have). I posted the one with rain blobs as I preferred it, actually tilted the lens upward to get some water on to get this shot, but totally can see where others are coming from!

The last one is an absolute corker!
