Rainbow Colours

I actually quite like this new trend in different colours for cameras. It's not really new as Kodak box cameras were made in a variety of colours many many moons ago, but just recently we have got into a silber or black situation.

So now I have a nice red Optio P70, a seductively white I-10, and I notice even more shades coming onto the market. There's even a Mint Green Optio out there somewhere - I noticed it fleetingly on Amazon earlier.

And I haven't even mentioned those new K-x colours...The future's bright, the future's almost any colour you fancy.

But yes I have to agree, I think for a compact or entry level camera then having a bright colour would be cool, I cant see it catching on with semi/pro spec models though, I cant for the life of me imagine anyone buying a K7 in Mint Green

Don't forget things like the Royal Blue Jersey Rolleflex 2.8F, or the Gold and Platinum special editions, the gold Pentax Spotmatic, the LX special editions, and so on.

I have seriously contemplated a couple of coloured K-x cameras for weddings - they would grab attention and be remembered. I admit I haven't bought them yet.

I'll own up to owning a blue Sony Cyber-shot U, it was cheap, still works and is easy to find!

My Optio P70 is white , very shiny and surprisingly heavy .

The only problem I have with it is the short wrist strap - it won't wrap twice round my wrist to keep it safe - it's too short and there isn't a slider on it to tighten it up to my wrist for security. I would prefer a thin lanyard round my neck for it
