Excellent shooting, particularly like the 2nd shot - and better weather than we've been having

Thanks both. Yes Lenny, the weather was definitely better than here - I left for the airport in snow, then arrived home to horizontal rain!
@Peter, I didn't see any other Pentax shooters, but quite a few Sony mirrorless and the odd Olympus user amongst the ubiquitous canikon crowd.
I'm still going through the few hundred images I took, as the hard drive failed on my MacBook while I was away, so had to wait until today to start editing. I'll post up a few threads grouped by theme in due course.
Here's a few more on the Red Bull theme...

Very Good The guy having a sly vape round the back of the bike sheds tickled me.

Super shots again. You have debunked the myth that Pentax cannot do sports photography. Well done.
It is all about the photographers skill which you clearly have in abundance.

Just been browsing through your gallery - you've got a great style - not just the standard GP shots, quite a few different angles and views - great stuff

Thanks for all the positive comments, it has been a while since I have been on a trip and been able to just concentrate on taking pictures. Next weekend it will be the slightly less glamorous task of shooting a local night rally - something I'm much less looking forward too, or confident about given that it will be pitch black and most likely cold and raining

Hi Mark, long time no see! It's a real pity our paths didn't cross. Are you going to the the actual GP too?

Good job mate! been there and done that. Grandstands are never the most rewarding places to take pictures from and I have been multiple times here doing the same (as this is our home circuit, I've been attending since 1991).
Keep it up. We are a few pentaxians shooting motorsport but even if it's a bit harder than using other brands, at the end is something doable.

Thanks Redfive, I was a bit lazy and stayed around the pit/paddock area for most of the day, as you don't normally get that sort of access during a GP. So most shots were from a highish angle above the garages. From Layinback's post above tt sound like there were at least three of us Pentaxians there

Yes we are a few, probably a small few but some still do use Pentax for the matter.
Yeah I can imagine. I'he done a couple laps on the perimeter of the track layout and its exhausting, so I can understand your decission 100%
