Race Day

These are a few from today with my new (to me) K5iis and da*60-250. At a track day which was also new to me. As i said this was my first attempt at this kind of thing. ( a lot to learn )
A day of firsts all round.
I saw 3 nikon and two canon togs there.

A few good images in there.I like the expression on the dudes face looking at his shots.

Hi folks. Some help needed again here, these shots are not great, I know that. But I'm not sure why. The panning shots were limited by there only being two angles to choose from. I found focusing an issue my panning technique or lack of. I tried manual focusing, afs and afc.
Most of these we're takin at about f8 with shutter speed around 1/160th to try keep movement in the wheels. Apart from the lens needing a plus 5 adjustment as I discovered this morning. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong ? ( other than everything )
