Question regarding FA* lenses

No, they are not, weather sealing only came out with the DA* lenses

Not only are they not weathersealed, but their silver finish rubs off as soon as you take them anywhere there might be "weather"

Ok, thanks for sharing 
As long as the optics stay in place I'm not really bothered. But to be honest, I may not be very credible where it comes to paint wear, as I drive an old ratty VW bug

All the ones I've tried have been brilliant optically.
The old screw-drive AF is also quicker than the new SDM.
The FA*24 is the exception to the above (I've had two, so not sample variation). While it was great on film, I've found it a poor performer on digital - loads of CA and not very sharp. The older A 24/2.8 is much sharper on digital.

Got a manual sigma 24 2.8 for about £40 the other week on ebay. Not really given it a good test yet though. That has temporarily subdued my hankering after the 21.
