Have to agree with Mat and Andrew. Tree in number one is a corker, but I like Round Up. I like the juxtopposition [sp?] of the sheep dogs / shepherd's crook and the quad bike.

First shot works best for me too, but then I am a sucker for contrasty B&Ws like this.
Not sure if I'm keen on the toning of the 4th image, but thats just my personal taste.
I think the three tree shots would make a nice panal if you could up the contrast on the last shot so its in keeping with the other two, give it the same border too.

Number one here. However I have to disagree on Round-Up. It could be my monitor, but I have pink sky between the clouds and a darker mark running into the picture to the left of the guys. Maybe it's because that image is not processed in the same manner as the rest.

Thanks everyone. It was just one of those perfect days with strong directional light and ever-changing skies.
In retrospect the last shot would "match" better with stronger contrast.
Barrie, I think the "darker mark" may be a cloud shadow with the lighter patch a splash of sunlight.
The set lacks unity, I must admit, as I've processed them over the course of several evenings.

As everyone else says the tree in #1 is fantastic but I also like the last one, above Holford Down. I'm not so keen on the sepia toned Watrching the Round-up though. Would it not have been better in the rich black and white so excellently portrayed in the others in the set.

Powerful stuff Andrew, 1 and 5 for me. Fab skies, particularly in 5. Great comp in both.
4 is interesting but the light on the hills looks odd and I find the men and dog are a bit drowned out by the busy background. Perhaps at larger sizes that is less of an issue.
