Trying to decide what to pack for a UK trip? was hoping to get up to see some Puffins and wondered what lens would be recommended?I will have a choice of 300 prime or 70-200 and a i.7 converter for either will also have a sigma 10-20 and Pentax 16-85.
any other tips as in where to stay and which boat to travel on would be most welcome.

Where are you hoping to see the Birds Don..?

I've only caught them at the Farne Islands. There a 70-200 in general is a good lens as the birds get very close.

Billy Shiel Boats are the ones to travel with there.
K-1Gripped K-1 ungripped K-5ii K7 Various lenses

Thank you Stuart, will be in the UK Mid June -late July, just been reading about Skomer and as I will be staying near Monmouth for part of the time it would make more sense.

Skomer is great, partuclarly mid June to Mid July

I live not too far away (50 mins) from there and do go regularly

I take a K3 II with 150-450 and a 300mm with a 1.4 converter .

I also Squeeze in a 18-135 and a 100 macro

Don’t take my K1 as doesn’t keep up for BIF’s like the K3II

My second body is a K3.

Quite a lot to carry, but genuinely there’s a lot to capture

If I was just taking two lenses it would be the 150-450 and 18-135.
