I've never tried, but you might find the software doesn't allow more than one entry per person. That's how the Weekly Competition was set up and it might apply to all competitions in the Gallery section, by default.
It would be a bit unfair after all if one person put in one shot and someone else posted 12!

I was under the impression it was 2 competitions!....I've loaded my patterns and textures shot ,for what it's worth.....But I still have my "wildlife shot" to load!.....it's a red beetle I think!...

The competition that's on here now put your Pattern/Texture shot in ( YOUR BEST SHOT)
Dan will be putting the Wildlife competition on tomorrow then you can post your best wildlife shot there.
Sorry for the cock up but as there were two prizes we (Dan and I) decided to run two com's instead of the one.

I'm not sure if I can count my children's monkey-like tree trunk jumping as a wildlife... Oh, well, I have some very wild trees and extremely wild bee feeding on a dandelion...
