Are these cameras made from aluminium ? if so this project may need to be passed down through the Riley family generations, as a quick look on Google shows estimates for a aluminium can to biodegrade at anywhere between 200 and 500 years
I would guess in 10 years it will look pretty much as it does now, maybe the moss will start growing on it. Although that would make an interesting timelapse video.

"Project Decay. Month 6445......the Pentax continues to resist the elements, but the house has now been demolished to make way for a new bypass.....recent testing revealed the self timer still works...."

This experiment was going so slowly that I had decided to only take images every three months. However, I got grumbles about that, so I've decided to keep up the monthly images. You'll find the whole set on Facebook, but here's today's shot. This is month 34 and the MG is bedding in to its surroundings now. Nature will have its way in the end, but the Pentax MG is no pushover.
