Project Decay #29

This project continues, every month end it gets photographed and I am amazed by how long this discarded Pentax MG is taking to become one with its surroundings. Inside it may be a mass of solid rust for all we know, but outside it continues to resist the ravages of nature.

It still looks like it just needs the cobwebs brushed off to restore it to working order

Perhaps the eBay description should be, "Hasn't been used for the past two or three years, untested....."

Maybe you needed another brand of camera alongside to really appreciate the experiment. Amazing though as it is

Many, many years ago a friend of mine dropped his MX while climbing in the Alps (it fell out of his rucksack when he was digging out some extra climbing thingies) - he eventually found over 1000 feet lower which a smashed lens, one of the strap lugs missing and a dented pentaprism housing (+ lots of assorted scratches). He put on another lens - and it worked!

One of the reasons I went for Pentax all those years ago.
