problems

Hi,
Have had my Optio S camera for a week over 12 months - yes that's right - its only just run out of warranty and its broken down.
First of all, it won't download photos to the computer and now it won't even let me take a photo - i turn it on and get a black screen and sometimes i get a message saying A90, sometimes i don't.
Also it takes a long time to turn off now.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong - it would be very much appreciated. I live in Australia but am travelling in Canada at the moment and would appreciate if someone could tell me what is wrong with it.

Having the same exact problem .... the error massage means that something is wrong with the circuit bord in the camera... so i think we both should take our cameras to be FIXXED

How much do you reckon it will cost to get fixed because my camera is now 2 weeks out of warranty. It broke like a week out of warranty. I am in Canada at the moment and am not going home to Australia where i bought it until half way through next year.

Having read much on this exact problem, I've found that the cost varies greatly from country to country....and so does the Customer Service quality that you'll receive!!

IMO, best bet is to source the local Pentax reapir and simply ask! Sorry, I can't be of more help.
