problem with TTL Dedicated Flash Off Camera Shoe Cord for Pentax

I have a 7dayshop TTL Dedicated Flash Off Camera Shoe Cord for Pentax ,
works fine with Pentax AF540 FGZ, but with my Samsung SEF 54-PZF flash gun it automatically zoom the head to the correct setting but will not fire the flash,
but works fine with the pentax flash...
I thought the samsung was compatable.
Both work fine directly on top of my K-5...
Any one had this problem?

k-5 IIs, Pentax 60-250, 17-70, 100macro WR, 50mm F2,
AF50 F1.4, Siggy 10-20, Siggy 100-300 F4, ..Pentax Af 160 ring flash
