Problem with 18-250 lens

Not necessarily a problem. It’s common for Tele photo lenses to slide out due to the weight of the front segment. Some like my Tamron 28-300 have a lock you can engage to prevent it.

Welcome to the forum
As BF mentioned it is normal to slide out the front of the lens or 'zoom creep' in Tele photo lens. I have no experience of this lens but read that it can be locked at 18 mm for the transportation purpose.

Hi and welcome,
This is a common with that lens as it does not have a zoom lock, as bforbes says.
The zoom is easy to turn so as soon as you lean forward the weight of the lens and gravity easily over come the resistance of the zoom ring. If everything else is OK then there is no fault really.

Hey! rpk20d
I am indeed an amateur and hope to remain one.
i do not wish to be a professional with the stress it encumbers.
I have been stressed all my life. Now, it's time for me to relax and enjoy myself with photography.
I am sure I'll need your advice from time to time and hope to obtain it.
Best regards.
(By the way, thanks you everybody for your answers).
