PRINTER RESET COUNTER

Most printers have something like this. Some even prevent counters resetting if you use third-party inks or try to refill cartridges.
There are various hacks - often a mix of software, firmware and hardware.
It's really because the printers are very cheap and they make all their money through ink/toner/etc.

My Canon Pixma iP4500 works fine with my £5.55 set of five chipped ink cartridges.
I can't speak for the newer models but it does seem mean of Epson! I hope you've old them off. Pentax Ricoh should do printers don't you think?

Hi all
Epson printers have a print counter which stops it working when a set amount of prints have been done.
Is it only Epson that does this, or is it all printers from all makers.

Dave:::
You can reset the counters so this is not a problem on Epson if you know how to overcome it. Do a search on google.Hi all
