The lens works, it was cheap, I don't care about a typo .
I guess the proof reader got confused.
Everything else is printed in Vietnam, including the notification of the change of name to Pentax Ricoh.

Having lived in China for 18 years I can say that I've never seen a copied lens .... they may exist but I've never seen or heard of them, even in Shanghai's most dubious shopping malls (virtual and bricks & mortar) !

Checked the two cards in the K-R kit box and they dont say where they where printed.

I contacted the seller for my 50mm asking about the lens' oringin.. Do you think it's much of a concern that theres that single typo on the warranty card?

Since mine came from Amazon I am happy it is not a counterfeit lens. I really can't see there is a problem.

Well, if it is counterfeits then I´m all for that! I was positively surprised with the build quality of the 35mm. Yes, it is plastic but the feel of it is quite reassuring.
I am less impressed with Pentax´ communication efforts - in general they give the impression they would rather not communicate anything at all. As a long time user you get used to it and a typo here and there is not something I would find out of the ordinary

Just incase you were interested, you can buy the Samsung equivalent of the FA100 2.8 Macro off the bay for £200
