I remember an announcement from Pentax re. forthcoming prrime 200 and 300mm DA lenses?

This must be nearly 6 months ago and as yet I have not seen sight nor sound of them.

Have they been consigned to the medium format outfile??

They have been delayed in favour of a consumer super-zoom 18-250 and the Star 60-250 F4.

It is a real shame as those two lenses are ones I am really interested in. I've lost interest in the zooms and just want to save for some primes.

I can't wait for the *55 *200 and *300.

If one is to believe the current rumours, there's meant to be a new lens lineup announced in January along with a new body or two. The same rumours suggest that Pentax was having QC problems with the new DA* lenses which Hoya helped resolve which put back the release of the longer primes from the original roadmap.

I'm just regurgitating what I've read elsewhere, but I'm also looking forward to a new *300 prime.

It's the 200 that interests me the most - I'm now nearing my "ideal" lens line up with my DA12-24, FA43 (thanks again Kim!) and D-FA100. The DA*200/2.8 will be the icing on my cake
