PP question?

I have used the pen tool to put a line around something but I do not know how to cut it out or loose the background. HELP

Different programs ave different methods!

Normally one selects an area, and then copies the selection.

This can then be pasted into a new layer, and the original layer deleted.

From here you can insert a new background layer underneath for example.

I tend to use a masking layer and a brush to tweak the mask/selection but some have good results with just a pen/lasso etc.

As above though, this all depends on what software you are actually using, so that would be the best place to start here.

Ie what software program are you using?

Yeah YouTube is really good for this stuff.

I like a guy called phlearn for this. He takes a while but usually offers a good solution.
