Might be worth keeping an eye on this one, especially if your looking for a macro lens.

If you look at "Sellers Other Items" you will fing another *istD, this time with a 70-210mm lens.
Best regards, John

Seller has (0) feedback and has only been registered a short time. Sellers do have to start somewhere I guess. Might be interesting.

I have a few Pentax bits for sale too if anybody is interested, view them at http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZmannestyQQhtZ-1

I've got to recoup the money I spent on Brian's AF140C, beautiful ring flash Brian, thanks. I hope you can purchase those excellent lenses soon.

Referring to the original post, it looks like this was a scam. Both cameras disappeared a few hours before auction end, with no bids. The user who was selling them is no longer registered with ebay. Just goes to prove, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

On Ebay you have to be wary of anyone without a solid history who's selling such high valued items. Even when they do have a history it's important to have a look and see if they've sold similar items before as the account may have been taken over by someone who'd "phished" the password.

I am surprised no one bid on either of the two - have been keeping a beady eye on them and asked a couple of questions of the seller and then nowt. At least I don't have to figure out how to explain to the 'Minister for Home Affairs' about my latest bargain!

I sent a couple of messages through ebay's messaging system too. I got replies but I didn't get the usual copy of the users reply via email. That made me think this user was not quite 'kosher'.

FYI:

I've split the "Wedding" subthread into a new thread:

Hope you don't mind!

. . . . they are back again and this one seems to have a D-BG1 attached which I don't recollect seeing before.

Might be worth keeping an eye on - the seller says that ebay pulled the auction last time.
However as Sergeant Phil Esterhaus in Hill Street Blues used to say: 'Hey, let's be careful out there.'
