Portland Bill Lighthouse

Having invested in a 18-135mm lens for a forthcoming river cruise, it arrived bright and early on Wednesday morning (thank you SRS) and so I took it down to Portland in the afternoon to try it out. A few shots of the lighthouse on the Bill suggest that it is going to be a success.
All taken with my K-5ii and the aforementioned DA 18-135mm ED AL IF DC WR

1. The lighthouse looking over the Trinity House day mark at a passing container ship.

2. The previous lighthouse, now an RSPB observatory, can be seen on the hill to the right of the current one.

These have some very crisp feeling light, a cleanness and sense of the chilly fresh sea air. Nicely placed rocks in the 2nd one ....almost looks like you placed them there yourself!
