I had seen very few poppies in the area & was begining to think I wouldnt find any this year. Lukily I stumbled across a small field of them & managed to get down there when there was some reasonable light.

1/200 sec at f/4.5 iso 100. Shot at 150mm with a Pentax K3 & Tamrom 70-200mm f/2.8

Unusual warm colours make this special.

On Saturday we passed two lovely fields of poppies near Kidderminster whilst riding on the SVR. People were using them as a great foreground for railway pcitures.
Best wishes,

Andrew

The lighting, depth of field and colour balance are spot on.

There are a million shots out there similar to this but... for the reasons mentioned above (DOF, warmth of light) this one is particularly successful. Would make a lovely card or print.

As they say, excellent. The backlighting is superbly captured.

Fabulous shot. I'm still looking for a field of poppies.
