Finally found a poppy field. Lots of seed heads, so wish I'd found it 2 or 3 weeks earlier.

Lovely shots - I hope the camera didn't get damaged when you dropped it on shot 3

Very nice Alan and I quite like #3 which I'd like to see, say, at A3 size in a frame. Can I ask what lens etc.
Regards
Stan

The first one is eye watering sharp. Lovely colour in all of them.

As it happens, I didn't like #3, but it is growing on me. They were taken as follows:

#1 18mm with the 18-135 @ f10
#2 24mm with Samsung version of the 12-24 @ f10. A five exposure HDR
#3 24mm with Samsung version of the 12-24. Exposure was 0.4 seconds. Had to close down to f22 to get that speed

The first one was taken on Saturday morning. I had been shooting the kingfisher, so the only wide lens I had was the 18-135, which I just stick in the bag as a matter of course.

Went back with the 12-24 on an evening hoping for a nice sunset sky

Beautiful shots. The strong colours in the first are stunning and I like the 'quietness' of the second. The third is fun !
