POINT AND SHOOT LCD

Hi, I have an old Pentax Espio that has an LCD. it only works if pressure is applied. Otherwise it is empty and does not show any information. As soon as I press on top of the plastic around the LCD it shows information.
What is the issue ? Connections ? Does anyone know how to fix this ?
