I'm using Cactus V4s and they seem to work okay with my Samsung SEF36 flash. Used that combination last night in fact. Haven't used them in the cold though.

Thank you Bret I forgot about those, I'll give them a try.

Yes Tim it does work with other flashes perfectly and I said that to the email to them and that's why they said it was strange it does not work with my Pentax AF540FGZ and others af540fgz
At least they know there is a problem so maybe hopefully we might see a new version which does work.

The problem now is though you can't blame the Pentax AF540FGZ or the Cactus V4 since they work perfect with other combinations.

I was actually answering the OP's post, not yours But earlier in this thread you said it didn't work properly with the 540 and you didn't know if it worked with the 360. So I am reassuring the OP that it does indeed work with the 360.

He, he, the story of amoringello v.s. Elinchrom continues...

The box arrived today with my repaired Skyport receiver.
Sadly, they forgot to include the Transmitter!!!

I've been dealing directly with the Director of Customer Service on this one, and she was personally overseeing that the equipment was handled properly. She apparently did not do a very good job!

I really cannot believe the poor service I'm getting from what should be a top-notch company.

That sounds like really bad service on their part. You're a lot more patient than me because I would be down at their offices ranting and raving like a lunatic by now.

I bought Yongnuo from E-bay a year ago. It is a cheap Chinese brand, for manual mode I am happy with.

I just received my Cactus V4 kit with an additional receiver.
They work beatifully. I put the flash inside the house and I went outside with the trigger and it still worked from about 30-40 meters which is quite good. I think that the range will even be bigger in open field and I didn't try it until the range was to large, it started raining so I went in again

Golf I believe you also had the seculine twinlink, which do you find better?

I quite like the design of the cactus V4 and it's great value for the price, I could get a refund since they didn't work with my AF540FGZ but I will just get a pair of second hand flash guns for it, it's much cheaper then buying a wireless sync that does work with the AF540FGZ

Well, I had the Seculine's but I returned them unused...
I picked them up at the store and when I opened the box it was very obvious that they were used and not new.
So I returned them.
The build quality is a bit better then the V4s but for the money the V4s are the best you can get. The seculines are quite a bit more expensive.

Thank you Golf.
I came to the same conclusion, I'm cheaper of buying a flash that does work with the cactus then buying a wireless trigger that works with the AF540FGZ
