Pleasant Surprise Today

Hi all,

A few days ago an oval racing magazine got in touch with me asking for my contact details.

Throughout the 2012 racing season I sent them photos for possible magazine publication, but with so many other 'proper infield' photographers also sending them in I only had a few published this season.

They wanted my details because they had used some of my photos for a limited edition 2013 oval racing calendar they were producing.

When it arrived this morning I had a pleasant surprise, out of the 12 photos printed 5 of them were mine.

One of them was an ISO 12800 shot from my new K5II, it looked great at A4 size too, the other 4 were with my K5, all 5 were with my 300mm DA*

Mine were the only photos taken with a Pentax on the calendar as I know what cameras the others use.

That gives you a lot of "bragging rights", having five pictures published out of twelve. Congratulations.
