playing around with Elements 7

Evening,

Just playing around with PS Elements 7.0 - teaching myself - well theres no one better to do so is there.........

and this is my first effort......

Picture has been put on here before - but as from camera -

Was interested in turning to B&W and then bringing back some colour....

In the picture is myself and Mia. (Mia is best mate's (and Best Man's) daughter)

any comments (good or bad - including lose a chin or two!!) more than welcome......

appreciate a crap background........

can you make your tongue look like a lizard's?

i'll try - any ideas?

The better half took the pic - I am amazed that it was in focus on us, (particularly Mia's eyes) and not the tiny speck in the sky that is a 747 on finals into heathrow.....

cheers for the comments guys - any ideas how to do something about the background? Tried using magnetic lasso and applying a 3 pixel Gaussian blur, but that kind of cocked up the crisp sharp lines of my rugby shirt and Mia against the background.......

Darlene - yeh coolest glasses I own! Those colours are exactly as they are........
