Went to Donna Nook in Lincolnshire today to photo the annual seal invasion and got a little treat too.

Like the seals Gary. Then plane shooting flares must have been a bonus for you. Hope it didn't scare off the seals.

Its only down the road from me and this is the first time I have actually been whilst the seals have been there. I was amazed at how many there was and how close to the fenced off footpath too.

These where shot with the 400mm bit I could have got away with the 50-135mm they where that close.

Another shot of the plane, sorry I don't know the name of the plane, not really my speciality

Boeing C17 Military Transport, Raf has a whole eight of them to cover our long range strategic transport need! A rare bird over here, one is helping out in the phillioines at the moment...
Cheers Jules...

Not sure sure on these Gary. The eye needs to be sharp and they all look soft on my screen.

A place I'd like to visit, but a bit of a hike.

These looked a bit dark on my iPad so adjusted them again in photo gene which has blown out some highlights and maybe lost a bit of sharpness.

I was also hand holding the body with the 400mm attached having forgot my monopod so maybe a little camera shake.

Will have another go before the months out, see if I can improve and spend a little more time...

I think this is possibly better...

Yep Gary. Had a look at the large one on flickr and you can see a hair on its left eyeball. That's sharp enough

And this was the shot before the first image so maybe the seal leaned forward a little..
