Pixel shift and PP

As a result of my recent reduction in gear I have decided to try to make a go of using a K3ii with my prime Limited lenses, hoping that the weight will not be too excessive for my dodgy hands.

My question is this. I use an iMac for PP. The Silkypix software manages pixel shift images, but Aperture will not. As I do not have a cd drive I cannot load the Silkypix software - I have emailed Silkypix asking if there is a download available but they do not even acknowledge my request. So, what other software is available to handle pixel shift?

Thanks.
Lots of gear - but not a lot of idea!

You can get a dvd writer for around £25 at Curry’s which is a lot less than the Apple one. I bought a Samsung one a few years ago which works fine with the Mac and it loaded Silkypix ok. Maybe there are even better deals around if you are quick.

Ps as you are just down the road from Wellesbourne you are welcome to borrow mine if you prefer.

You can get Free software that will mount a DVD Image to look like a DVD drive. They use it for games etc.

Windows 8 and upwards has it built in. So only needed for W7

If you need to create an image containing the install files Imgburn is very good....Also good for all burning to actual DVD's.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the reply. I was coming at the problem from the alternative software angle rather than the hardware angle.
Your reply prompted me to rethink - a search of the garage resulted in me finding an external cd drive last seen about 5 years ago!
Problem solved - software loaded.
Thank you.

Try going to the American or Canadian Ricoh websites and you should be able to download the Silkipix Digital Camera Utility 5 & it's update for the K3II on the following link
