I can see merit in the recurring curves of body and shoe. On the other hand I do not know if it is the background that's too stark, the body too soft focus, or just the lack of definition between them seems to detract from it. IMHO

James,

Perhaps a little more contrast between the background and the back of your model? Maybe that's just another way of saying what Barrie has already...

The softness of lighting is super and I really like this, great shot.

Really nice shot, but I agree with the comments about the background. Maybe a different coloured background would make the subject stnd out more? Black would probably be too much, red too tacky, maybe cream?

Hmmm, while I quite like the components of the image (I'm a man, after all), I don't think this works. Why is the girl's backside in the photo? Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely backside, but there doesn't seem to be any reason for it. Is this a product shot of the shoe, or a glamour shot of the girl? At the moment is isn't really either.

Spot on James. The blends of pinks is lovely. I don't mind the simple background. More pink would be too much and another colour would be distracting. I also like the mixture of sharp and soft focus.

I do admire your studio work. It's a cut above.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Lovely image, James.

I find the positioning of the the shoe a little vague/ haphazard.

For a graphic image such as this, should the shoe not be "level", in pure profile?

nice work.
technically fine.
I like the shoe, butt, I don't really get it.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.
