What's these pages over pages (from 11 to 38.) of photos "by unknown" about? They all (?) carry the "shortlisted for Pentax User Magazine" tag. So why are all those in the gallery? And who put them there...

Personally, I think the gallery should be for people who use the forum.

I would agree with that.

At the moment it feels rather like two companies that have been merged

They have been here all along - you just haven't noticed them. They are pics that were submitted to the magazine over the years. We used to upload them into a gallery page that was manually created so didn't have user IDs. The new gallery is much better but we need to convert all the old pics to user ids. Many of the uploaded photos were taken by club members who were not members of the forum so they need to join to remove unknown. If you look at the caption for the individual photo it does have the name of the owner.

Will these images litter the gallery if the authors don't join? Perhaps there should be a time limit, lets say 20 minutes, the same as the Edit Post restriction.

Just looks like padding to me and by the look of it not very great padding at that

Guilty, and not even done in Photoshop. This was a simple montage of 6"x4" colour prints, all shot specially in sequence using a 50mm lens.

I've always been up to no good photographically....

No they are all tied in to individual magazine issues from the past. They have always been on this site.

There's always a coupon at the back of the magazine for you to send in with your entries on CD, slide or print. Nothing has changed in this respect and the new methods offered here are extra to the coventional ways to enter.

Yes John's correct. The coupon is on page 34 of the magazine, but also as a download on the downloads page on this site. As well as the options John mentioned you can also submit by email.
