Photoshop

Hi All

I'm after a a book on Adobe Photoshop CS2 to help me with editing & enhancing my pics. I have looked at quite a few on Amazon and they all seem to have good reviews. One that does seem to stand out is Photoshop CS2 Bible. I would just like to say that i dont' want anything to complex. Something that get's the message across and is easy to follow but also allows me to move on to something more advanced without having to buy more books. Your help would be gratefully appreciated.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 For Photographers by Martin Evening. Focal Press, 2005. ISBN: 0 240 51984 1 (675pp plus CD) This will tell you everything you could want to know, and is full of brilliant full colour illustrations.

I can confirm that Martin Evening's book is top notch. It may not have *everything* you need to know about Photoshop, but it has most of it!

If Scott Kelby's book for CS2 is as good as his one for PSE4 (and I can't believe it wouldn't be) then it is a must have book.

Ditto, I have Scott Kelby's Photoshop Elements 3 for Digital Photographers, and it does what it says in the title. He takes the tasks most photographers want or need to perform and walks you through them.

In addition to Scott Kelby's "The Photoshop CS2 Book". I've found "Photoshop for Windows and Macintosh" by Elaine Weinman/Peter Lourekas to be a valuable resource (ISBN 0-321-21353-X).

From my perspective, the Kelby book is a great training manual with work through tutorials while the Weinman/Lourekas book is more of a quick reference compendium of problems and workable solutions.
