Has anyone had experience with the above hardware? Or can recommend a similar one please

I have just spent over 4hrs and over 30 pages trying to get my printer calibrated to my monitor after finding the icc supplied with my paper and ink supplier are basically crap.

I’m and the end of my tether I’ve had it

Current set up

main light is a daylight bulb and I do most of my editing and printing at night
19inch monitor
Huey calibration device
Epson R1800 with ciss and paper supplied by the same company

And I’m still getting the wrong colours

B&W’s are dark I have to in crease the brightness levels by 20 before printing just to get the shadow right on portraits.
I view a sunset with was yellow and dark sky’s on my monitor and looked fantastic BUT when I came to print it was a red sunset and don’t get me started on skin tone’s
On my other printer Epson R285 skin tones are spot on but this is not an A3+ printer
I done want another icc I just want to get it right call me a fuddy duddy but I like things RIGHT!! Especially when in selling prints

I use the Color Munki Photo. It is great. You can easily do your own ICC profiles for the paper you want to use, which means you don't have to use the paper the printer manufacturer wants you to use.

well I've bought one and it's fantastic, monitor and both printers are now displaying and printing at the same colour

well worth the money

printed a job, 12 images

wasted two prints between one monitor and two printers

one print was cropped wrong and the other a hair attached it's self to the paper and i had to reprint it.

ok had to waste 15 sheets of paper to profile the printers right but in the long run it's going to be worth it just for piece of mind.

You can save some extra money now by using third party inks instead of the originals. Being able to profile the printer with any inks you use is almost like God's gift to photoggraphers.
