Thanks for your response Gwyn. I couldn't find the leveller on the camera but perhaps I was looking in the wrong places. Even the one staff member that I spoke to didn't acknowledge its presence when I mentioned it to him, although he was rather reluctant to speak to me in English - every time I asked a question in English he replied in German. My knowledge of German is not much better than my Swahili! I confirm that the leveller is mentioned on the .nl site but I couldn't find it on the .com pages. Anyway, good to hear that it is there.
I returned to the Pentax stand during the afternoon but it only confirmed my feelings about it being stuffed into a corner. Did you see the Hoya stand? I have a toilet in my house which is bigger!
If my daughter pesters hard enough to get my K20D handed down I could perhaps be pressured into a K-5!

In 2008 Pentax had only a small showroom but they had quite a big space for customers behind the stage. Last time it wasn't that bust there so it's good to see it's more busier now.

The stand now looks bigger than it was the last time but they did had 5 small pillars with the K-M on it on with a steel cable so that you could try them out yourself without waiting for one to be handed to you. Was that the same this time?

last time Canon was also almost had a whole hall, they were sharing it with Panasonic then.

Did you used the DAL35 btw?

Someone on another forum asked me that too - no is the answer - only on multi coloured K-rs behind glass. I confess I did not spend long looking at the K-r though.

I've seen a couple of those on Marktplaats over the years.

There were lots of 3D cameras at Photokina though, both still and video.

There were also some the last time, i'm sure the with the return of the 3D bisoscoop and 3D blu-ray, televisions and games that 3D will become hot.
No idea what's so special about it though for photos, I would not want them in 3D to begin with.

And they called it 'stereo'

'Stereo' is more acurate for all those 3d movies, cameras, TVs etc. etc. True 3d would change perspective as you move round it (like a hologram). Anybody have wone of those stereo viewer thingies which took discs when they were a kid? Can't remeber what they were called.

Viewmaster loads of them on ebay... quite good.

This one on ebay could be used with homemade stereo prints, may
even work with inkjet printers.

I still have a Stitz Stereo beamsplitter which is better than the Pentax
one because you can change the angle to suit any lens up to 300mm.
