Hello Gwyn, another Pentax user and myself had a days course in Yorkshire with professional photographer Paul Miguel. We both learnt a great deal and it was real fun too. Good value as well. I would do another one with him.

Thanks for that Cedric. I shall look him up. Yorkshire would be good as I could get the ferry to Hull and visit my brother in York whilst I'm over.

There's some bloke in Essex that does very good value for money one day workshops, on general photography or macro, and I'm told they're fun, rather than a hard slog. Can't remember his name off the top of my head...

Gywn,
Take a look at the Wild Arena website www.wildarena.com
they do British and worldwide holidays, workshops and 121s. I have used them twice for safaris and had really fantastic holidays both times and learnt a lot as well.

I'm just beginning to toy with the idea of doing something like this. It will force me to get out and take photos for one thing, and with my husband being away a lot on business at the moment, and having way too much fun whilst he is away, will give me something to do too which hopefully is fun.
PentaxBabe thanks for the link. The safari is tempting, but we are hopefully going together next year. I shall have a look at their shorter courses in the UK though.

If so which one did you go on and what did you think of it? Did you learn anything? Was it fun or a hard slog? Value for money?
