Photographic Day Out
The weather held out and the atmosphere was one of a 'garden party' where photgraphers and actors mingled freely. Some staged 'posing' was set up but generally they would position themselves where you wanted.
Some of the 100 odd shots taken :-
#1 A solitary bowman

#2 A contingency of Jacobites (With no uniform their only identifier was the white cockade)

#3 The Master of celermonies (One of many uniforms donned during the day)

#4 A staged scuffle (poses were held usually until a fit of giggles forced a change)

#5 One of the many Ladies in Waiting (generally ignored by the bulk of photographers)

#6 Part of the 30-40kg of kit worn by a knight

Sadly some of the photographic crowd acted more like seagulls when chips are sighted.
One other Pentaxian sighted but had no chance to say hello.
Comments, as always, welcomed

It's a regular event so keep an eye on the castle website for future happenings.
#2- I spent probably 20minutes chatting to those guys and why they chose the Jacobite gear (coming from Mansfield it seemed odd). They then suggested I take a few pictures which they set up the poses accordingly. Then the vultures landed and I found myself at the back of the pack. Time to move on and chat to someone else.
To be honest I spent more time chatting that snapping.
