I had to replace my computer. I didn't lose too much but one item that can't be replaced is 'i-tag'. Yes, it's still on the internet but abandoned so although you can get the basic free version (3 tags per item) you can't get the paid-for version to unlock the rest of it. Shame 'cos it was so useful.

Can you get a straightforward tagging program now? (Forget the fancy editors like Lightroom et al). I just want to add text tags to the EXIF file and be able to search for those tags in the future.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Try Metadata++ ( https://www.logipole.com/ )-- I use it for adding lens info that's not recognised by the camera. It can read and edit keywords/tags and, I think. write them, although I've not used it for writing them.
It's freeware and they ask for a donation if you think it's worth it.

That's looking hopefull, thank you. I haven't looked at it yet but I found this in the list of fixes and improvements ......
