I attempted for the first time to print a photo , well the paper was gathering dust . I did a. Test with standard paper. , this was fine , however when I inserted Kodak 4 star paper the printer would not accept this (250 micron). Similar problem with Epsom everyday paper.
My printer is an HP 6500 plus.

Do I have to change settings somewhere?

Hi, As a Canon User my printer used the rear feed for photo paper as its straight through rather than bent.

Very odd. HP recommends its Advanced Photo Paper for your printer and this is listed at about 266 microns. You will have a setting somewhere for paper type but this mainly controls the amount of ink delivered for your chosen paper finish. My Epson printer feeds through any paper up to the maximum thickness regardless of the paper type setting. I'd check the manual, but it sounds like there could be a mechanical problem. Good luck.
