Pentax "Z" - ROFLMAO. What's it going to do? Occupy Palestine.
Looks like a 645 logo though

I think given the URL has 645z in it that there's a fair chance.

I think someone in the design dept. has got mixed up
Z is the logo that was used on Bronica 645 cameras NOT Pentax 645
Bronica_645_Link Click Image for full size.
If they do leave the D off the name no non Pentaxian will know
it's digital also if they use Z people will think they have
taken over Bronica
It's also possible that someone owns the rights to
using Z on a camera in the same way that Olympus had
to change the M-1 to OM-1 due to Leica objecting.

The probably do, but Ricoh will not be worried as Pentax had the Z-1 back in the 90s.

Pentax did make a prototype FF in a MZ-S body type but it is still under development. It was published in the Pentax Magazine Jan 2001. Hope it's worth the wait....
But, unlike many on this forum, I agree, the Z-1 has a beautiful body.
There is another theory that the FF will appear in a 645 derived body (an idea patented by Gartmore I think)
I do wonder what the outcome would be if Pentax priced their MF camera to compete with the professional FF cameras. (just dreaming)
