I agree - very poor. Hopefully the whole Pentax UK (Europe?) operation will be revamped again soon.

If I'd been running the K10D launch, I'd have created a website dedicated to it, so the individual countries would only have needed to put a link to it from their own sites.

It is truly shocking the way Pentax handle their publicity and interaction with the public.
The Dutch Pentax site is also a shambles. Since Pentax closed their operation in Breda and De Beukelaer took over it has got even worse. The section for lenses and accessories has been under construction for what seems like centuries. They do have the K100D and K110D listed but also ALL the previous Pentax models, even ones long since discontinued. No word on The K10D of course.
I once was foolish enough to contact their customer service - what a mistake that was! They seem to not understand the word service and not really to want any customers. It was very different in the old Breda days.
Come on Pentax get your act together or I fear all those rumours about Pentax stopping will come true, in Europe at least....

maybe before we get too critical of Pentax, I should point out that this website (pentaxuser) still doesn't carry any news of the K10D.

Someone I know phoned the Dutch agent to complain about the website and ask about the K10D - that will be available in Holland at the end of October they said, plus new lenses coming!!!!!!!!! No comment on updating their website though.

The distributor just said available end October. Kamera-Express and Konijnenberg will certainly have it first I think.Whereabouts in Holland? Kamera-Express in Capelle, Hafo Den Haag or do I have to travel to Sleazeville (Amsterdam)?

Germany will probably get it even earlier.
Oh and the new lenses, due around Christmas, will be weatherproof to go with the weather proof K10D

What a Disaster!!
K100 D listed, but no mention of K110D, let alone the K10D!
Lenses: not even a mention of the new 10-17, which is readily available on the market
OK, it's a bit early to mention the 645D, and they have the film body listed
BUT - Not a single 645 lens listed or even referred to! - hardly the way to whet the appetite of anybody who may have heard of the forthcomming wonder camera. This is strange considering that the site does list 6x7 lenses.
Other country's Pentax websites have a news section. For Pentax UK you actually have to fill in a registration form, after which they may condescent to e-mail you the odd titbit.
All this hardly engenders confidence in after sales support and back up
Pentax UK should sort themselves out, put up and maintain a proper website and act like they really want to sell Pentax gear in the UK. ALternatively Pentax should sack them and appoint a more capable distributor.
