Please note, I am a newish member (more of a lurker!) I have already done one good deal on here, buying an ME super, I realise there can often be a trust issue with new members and can understand why, I am of course more than happy to meet in person (East Yorkshire) however I'm not a timewaster or dishonest, I am just selling off some bits I have acquired in excess of what I actually need.

I think the listing below is pretty accurate, as you can probably tell it's an ebay listing but I've hit my listing limit for the month so thought I would try it on here first!

Pentax Super Takumar 827519 1:2/55.

If your looking at this lens chances are you are planning to use the lens on a digital camera, there are several lenses in this series of Takumar lenses, the most valuable is the 50mm 1.4 as it is a very fast lens, also popular is the 55mm 1.8 (which I will be selling soon as well) however......
This lens the 55mm F2 is massively overlooked, which of course means soon people will start realising these are good value for money compared to the others!

The reason this lens is such a bargain is that at the time Pentax had some interesting ideas on producing a budget range, rather than producing a new lens and body for the budget market they produced the SP500 and this 55mm F2, the SP500 was simply an SP1000 without the 1000 setting marked on the dial, the position was still there however and if you selected the invisible 1000 it would work as per an SP1000 body. This lens is exactly the same, based on an F1.8 lens there is a stop beyond the F2. Sure enough F1.8!

Obviously if your looking at these lenses you know how easy they are to mount to pretty much any body by virtue of their versatile M42 thread, also the fantastic optics used in the lens.

Condition wise this lens is very very good, virtually no rubbing to the black at all, so little I can actually detail any marks, there is about 2 or 3 small bits of rubbing on the focusing ring. That's it that I can see! I've never seen one in this condition, even the lettering on the range is crisp and clear!!

Optically the lens is spot on, no fungus, scratches or dust. The lens does not appear to have ever been tampered with (most have).

You are bidding on the lens, I don't have any caps spare sadly, but will ensure the lens is well packed for safety and cleanliness.

P+P, the lens will be sent out wrapped in a cloth, bubble wrap and in a small box, I charge P+P at what it actually costs me, materials, fees and postage cost, it's only fair. However the flipside is if I accidentally overcharge I will refund the difference (how many other sellers do that!).
