I can't believe there are no takers for this!
If I didn't already have one, I'd take his hand off! - What's the matter with you people?!

No man is worth his salt, who has not been banned from at least one Forum, and two Flickr groups.

I was tempted even though I have got an FA version! Maybe I'd prefer that lovely well-damped MF to AF?
Just as well someone else is buying because I can't really afford any more lenses at the mo.

I already have M42, K, M and A series 50mm/55mm lenses in a mixture of f/2, f/1.8, f/1.7, f/1.4 and f/1.2 varieties. I didn't really need another one.
I'm waiting for something in the 100mm macro bracket in the freebie giveaway...

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

As you all know, it has beautiful soft bokeh wide open and then sharps as you go down. I believe the F1.7 is sharper at F2-F2.8, but this gives you an edge on an F1.7 because the F1.7 can't quite capture the effect of the bokeh at F1.4.

The lens comes in a pouch with original pentax cap and generic back cap and two Jessops filters (UV + Polariser).
