Pentax SFX battery?

The battery in the SFX is not proprietary. You can use either a National/Panasonic BR-P2DP, Duracell DL223A, Ever Ready EL2CR5, or Sanyo 2CR5. Kodak also make a 6 volt 2CR5 Photo Lithium battery that will be OK.

The old SF series feel like proper cameras. I have an SF7 that I bought for the lens, but I won't be selling it on as I rather like the feel of it. I'll buy a roll of slide film at some point and give it a go.
Interestingly my Km feels just as solid, but smaller.

I bought one for my SFXn a couple of weeks back. 2CR5 battery as stated. I believe you could get an alternative battery holder for them that took AA batteries instead? That may be a route to a rechargeable option. May find one on Ebay?
Failing that this site might be worth a look: link No connection, no experience of them whatever so cannot recommend.
I use rechargeable Li-Ion CR-V3 batteries (from Maplin) in my ISTDL2 and they work very well.
Funnily enough I took the SFX for a rare outing to a camera club practical evening recently and several people commented on how nice it felt to use.

The AA battery holder is worth seeking out.

I have one because I took the view that you can get AAs anywhere and it is now on the SFX permanently since the original battery holder broke. A bit chunkier than the original but worthwhile as smc says.

on account of hefty being fantastic, you have an answer this time but it's generally a good idea to start a new thread if you want to ask a question unrelated to the original topic.Where can I get a Manual for the Pentax IQZoom 160? Thanks

That's if they are still available, the camera is over 20 years old and it's a proprietary battery.
