Pentax servicing uk

Pentax no longer have a servicing department in the UK and for warranty work use Johnsons Photopia. Both Asahi Photo and Harrow Technical are well thought of independent repairers.

But shouldn't you be able to get you light-meter calibrated by a more "general" shop?

I own a Pentax digital spot meter and I want to get it checked for accuracy by a UK based company. Do I go to Pentax direct, or are there other options available to me?
