To be fair to them I have bought two items, a mid range Bosch washing machine and Sony HDR-SR11E camcorder and in both cases they were pretty much the lowest priced on-line with UK stock that I could find. Both transactions were smooth and quick, no hassles so I'm a satisfied customer

Greytop - your location is Berkshire. I don't know if you are close to Gerrards Cross but there is a small independent in GX and Beaconsfield who offers very good prices on white goods.
I wanted a new Fridge Freezer, Washing Machine and Dish Washer recently - all fairly high spec machines. I rang around various mail order and online dealers as well as the ones who run Sainsbury's, M&S, Boots and other websites.
He was prepared to match the best prices I was offered and service from him was excellent.

Thanks for the tip, actually I'm West of Reading close to the M4 (so not that close really) but might be worth a try next time something gives up the ghost.

i don't own K-x, so no experience with its SR, but it is interesting that dpreview also rated its SR efficiency very poor in an otherwise very positive review.

DPR don't go as far as saying it's very poor. They don't test it scientifically anyway.
From http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxkx/page13.asp :
"Image stabilization delivers visible results but they are not as impressive as on some of the other systems that we've seen. It generates an advantage of approximately one stop. It appears to be slightly more efficient at very slow shutter speeds where it significantly increases your chances of getting a usable shot and therefore certainly provides a real benefit in many shooting situations."

But trully their testing method is really rather strange.

Pro`s were Advanced Manual Controls, 100% viewfinder and excellent Image Stabiliser.
Cons were - Pricey and quite heavy! Needless to say i wrote a customer review disputing the latter! (Though someone had beaten me to it!)
