Does anyone know where I can buy a Pentax Remote Control F :

Apparently they are as rare as hens teeth at the moment

I gave up hunting for the Pentax OE and bought a Seculine Twin1 R3-UT that works as a wired release and a remote. Seems to work OK. I have tried it for some astro/night shots and it worked well, but the locking action is a little fiddly.
The Seculine unit costs about the same as a Pentax F, i.e. £20 Sterling.
Just an idea, but if I'd been willing to wait I'd have bought the Pentax unit TBH.

Hi, One thing you might try is using one of those all for one remote control thingies. I have sucessfully operated the remote shutter facility on My *st DS using one of these - sorry can't remember which TV/DVD I had it set on or what button I pressed to get it to work. Just set up your camera for remote IR operation and experiment......

This shop in Holland has them in stock. They are very helpful - try e-mailing them for a quote on postage.

Thank you for the various suggestions.

I bought two of the JJC versions (one infra red and one wired) from e-photozine for £16 inclusive of postage.
