I don't know if it's the file size that is an issue, but it normally takes a matter of seconds when I upload them. I always resize so that the file is less than 1Mb and normally 250-500Kb.

Sorry to be vague - they uploaded OK - quicker than they used to - but have been pending approval for 8 weeks

I've noticed the pending times getting longer. It regularly used to be up to 3 weeks. Then it became a month, now I've got one two that have been waiting for around six weeks.
I wonder if we are to blame in some way? If a lot of people are like me and don't spend enough time voting on submissions perhaps the backlog just goes on getting longer.

About 2 months ago - at a loose end one day - I submitted 5 images. Have just checked and all are still 'pending'.
Is this normal these day? It used to take about 2 weeks.
