Pentax Pete's PRIZE !

Had a bit of luck in the Daily Telegraph/Curry's 'Our Lives' photo comp. where I was in the last 45 out of over 34,000 entries, and had to go to London on Saturday to see if I had won anything- as it turned out, ALL the 45 entries had won something! I was a runner-up in the 'Our People' category and got one of the Olympus MJU 760 Digital cameras . The overall winner, a Chinese student from Thamesmead, SE London won £8,000 of travel to anywhere in the world. I met David Bailey who gave out the major prize and had done the judging. I will give the camera to my daughter as an 'advanced 10th Birthday' present as my boy has been given three good cameras already; Yashica LM44, Konica Autoreflex, Olympus OM2n with also a 75-150mm Zuiko lens.

Thanks for all the kind replies so far: it's not often I win anything-loads of tries but mostly NO LUCK! I support the Pentax User magazine comps. - usually win something to get a return on the subs. I tried my first ever submission in digital for the next issue- let's see how I get on against all you digital experts!
