Pentax optio mx camcorder,help for a newbie

Hi there

I'm thinking of picking up the optio mx digital camcorder.

i'd like to be able to take good films and stills of the family and want it all in one unit if possible.

what are peoples thoughts on this model-good? bad?

any one got any shots at all?
