I have a Pentax Optio E60 Compact, when turning on the camera i get a error message on the screen stating 'Lens Error'in a red bar, the lens does not open and then the camera turns its self off, sometimes it continues to work sometimes not sort of temperamental, any suggestions please, we have 1 month left on the warranty (Asda receipt)

Thanks in advance

I suggest you get it in for repair/replacement ASAP then. I think one of the most common faults of all makes of compact camera having that type of lens is due to the zoom mechanics.

It's not likely that anyone here can offer a quick fix. Even if they could, it'll probably happen again when it's out of warranty and the same fix might not work twice.

I'd get it back to ASDA before the reciept expires!

They will either replace it or send it of to a Pentax repair shop. Either way you don't have time to waste.

EDIT Peter beat me to it!
