pentax optio 555 quit working

hi all,

my pentax optio 555 is not working right now. the power is off and the lens doesn't go all the way in. When i try to turn it back on, the display comes on for a seccond. it display the optio and then it turn it self off. Any idea?

I had exactly the same problems, but my "fix" is slightly dodgy.
